Paul Blackburn

Paul’s made Rochester his home since 2000, and he gained playing experience living in Albany and Plattsburgh (SUNY Plattsburgh is his alma mater). His first musical experiences were in his hometown of Rome, New York. As well as performing, teaching guitar helps Paul share his love of music — a love that started in Rome and came from his family (his mother and brothers are musicians, and his grandfather was in a family band in Rochester). Paul also finds time to hike in the Adirondacks, ride his bike around town and study French (his grandmother’s language), as well as stay involved with the local Green Party. Paul’s a small town boy from his upbringing, but lives in the City of Rochester because the people, the culture, and the food make it the best place to be!

You can also check out Paul’s Journal. If you’re looking for insightful analysis of economic, social and political issues and how they relate to the world of music, this is the place to be. If you’re looking for poorly researched, misleading propaganda, you need to check out conservative talk radio or 24-hour news channels. Visit Paul’s journal regularly to see new postings.
